Hi,

My Jetta has this problem for a year now, here are the facts:

1. No Check Engine light.
2. Does not hiccup all the time.
3. Sometimes when accelerating, xmission downshifts or rpms go way up and a split second later gear engages.
4. Coil pack is new.
5. Battery is new.
6. Engine grounding is ok.
7. Connected VAGCOM (free version) and MAF sensor reading fluctuates erratically when hiccups happen. Don't have any counters for TPS so don't know if the throttle flap is closing intermittently.

My hunch is the motorized throttle body. Any suggestions?

Hey,
there is a screen in the vagcom that shows the throttle pedal percentage. I cannot remember what it is off the top of my head. I need a better description of what is going on to help. What year is it? I'm assuming it is an automatic, right? Depending on the year it could be many things.I need to know they year. Let me know.
