2000 Cabrio. Cold air not coming out. The blower works, the A/C system has been checked for leaks, vacuumed and recharged. It seems to be an electrical issue, any ideas about this? Thank you.

Hi turuchipa,

Is the compressor working when AC is turned on?

If no, you need to check the relays, compressor clutch or compressor switch.

Hello KHLow200,

It seems that power is not getting to the compressor. Warm air comes out when you turn the A/C. The relay has been tested and it seems to be ok.
Thank you for your reply I will follow up on the compressor clutch or compressor switch and let you know.
Let me know if you have other suggestions.

Thanks.

Hi turuchipa,

Apply battery current to comperssor clutch wire and if it clicks, the clutch is ok.

Check for power supply to compressor magnetic clutch relay and out put to clutch when AC switch is turned on.
