My passenger seat belt doesn't retract anymore so it just hangs. I have my MOT next week and need to get this sorted. I pulled the door panel off yesterday and can see the mechanism but have no idea what part of it contracts the retraction of the seat belt when you undo it . Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there,

You are unable to tamper with seat belt mechanisms. You will have to replace the belt as a unit. Do not buy one from the wreckers as you don't know the history of it.
