2004 Volkswagen Jetta Interior lights

Electrical problem
2004 Volkswagen Jetta 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 53 000 miles

All the lights on my dash, glovbox and sun roof work fine. Non of the other lights work. It appears that they must all be connected at one hub. Where would I start to trouble shoot?

Not to sure of an 04 but my 2000 acts the same way I open drivers side door no interior lights come on however open passenger door they come on, There is a switch inside the doors for the interior lights that is bad on mine, tried to find it but could not. Thin oil into door catch works for awhile but it is not a fix
