2003 Volkswagen Jetta Cannot open trunk

You may have a brocken latch inside your trunk, go inside your trunk trough your back seats, open it manually, once open replace the broken latch, you need to remove inside trunk lid cover to do it.

I am unable to open the trunk. The key does not work when placed in the lock. I am unable to use the switch inside the car. The button on the remote key does not work. Can you help me diagnose and troubleshoot this problem. Thanks[/quote]
