why is the heater in my 1998 golf gti vr6 always blowing warm air instead of hot air especially when it's very cold outside.Could there be a problem with the radiator,thermostat?Any help will be greatly appreciated.Thanks a million for all your help

Inspect coolant level. If OK, touch both heater hoses under hood near firewall leading to heater core. Once at operating temp. with heater on High these two hoses should be warm to touch, if not then the heater core has a blockage or is faulty.
