My brake lights keeps blowing fuses and I have no turn signals.

Recently I had a used transmission installed. Afterwards my dash brake light always remained on. Then I blew the 10 amp brake fuse and had no brake lights. I changed the fuse but it keep blowing. I tried a 15 amp temporarly and it blew. A 20 amp will work, so I have brake lights, but now no turn signals. The hazards lights work. The fuses are all good. When I turn the turn signal on, the dash lights do not come on. All of the bulbs are good. The boards that hold the sockets for the taillights both look good and I have made sure they are plugged in corrected.

Any suggestions? Thanks.

Hi
Think your problem for both brakes and turn is the turn signal switch. Possible short that is blowing fuse the brake circuit runs through turn switch so it will averide brake to allow flashing in turn position.
Hope this helps
