1988 Volkswagen Fox 4 cyl Manual 140000 miles

Hi I have a 88 vw fox. It starts no problem however it will not stay running, it stays running only if I keep pressing gas I have changed fuel pump on it so its getting enough fuel. Spark plugs are good. I reallly dont know what else to look at I would really appreciate if you could help me.

One reason could be idle adjustment issue. Another could be dirt in the fuel line or air. Try blowing fuel line out from each end with an air hose from air compressor, it will need at least 60psi to do the job.
