2002 Volkswagen Beetle
----------------------------------------------------------------
I have a 2002 VW Beetle and yesterday my car wouldn't start and the air bag light stayed on. I finally got it started today and the airbag light goes off for a little bit and then comes back on and stays on, I pulled my car back to my house and didn't drive it to work, what would be the easiest solution to this problem? Is it the battery? This has never happened to me before and I have had this car a little over a year. Also would it be safe to drive?

Hi there,

you will have to get a scan to see what set fault code is causing the SRS light to activate, the air bags will be inactive until you get this problem sorted.

Thank you! I was afraid to drive it to the dealer because I thought the air bags would deploy. That makes me feel a little better about it. Thank you so much. :)
