1974 Volkswagen Beetle 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual

my bug has a stock 1600cc, single carb, dual port intake, with new plugs and cables, just done valve job and will not fire on the driverside (cylenders 3, 4) at all there is cool very ritch exaust, my arch is good and when I pull the plugs there is alot of un burnt fuel in the plug. What the heck is goeing on?

Engine running rough or misfiring can be cause by the following:
Inspect and test all the following below:
1. Defective spark plug.
2. Inadequate spark/coil, defective spark plug wire.
3. Lack of compression
4. False air leakage.
5. Faulty fuel injectors.
6. Insufficient fuel pressure.
7. Contaminated fuel.
8. EGR valve that is leaking.
9. Oxygen sensors.
10. Throttle position sensor.
