Vent controls not working properly?

Automatic temperature control everything works except the vent controls will not switch off of the dash vents. So, floor, floor/defrost or just the defrost has no air coming out. It is a 2005 Mercury Grand Marque.

So, this happens when the small vacuum line under the hood breaks.
