I am looking at buying the truck listed above in very good condition. However, it was stolen and the engine was taken out. They replaced what was a 454 engine with a crate 350 engine. It runs great etc. Only has 138 miles on chassis and a brand new engine, but I have no idea what to expect for towing. Are there any gear ratio issues with the change and is it likely to affect the gas mileage etc. Any thoughts?

This depends on what axle is in it because there are three or four depending on what truck you have pick up etc. Look for a tag or stamping on front of tube with a three letter code then get back to us then we can let you know. A 350 does not tow stuff as well as a 454 due to torque differences but will do the job fuel mileage on both towing will be in the eight to ten mpg area if it is like a boat or travel trailer.
