Vauxhall Astra Wheel Noise

My Astra (52 reg) 1.6 8V Club with 78k on the clock has developed a noise on the front driver side wheel. It sounds like a squealing noise which increases with speed. Is it bearings or something else? Please help me. Thanks in advance.

Check the brakes first, but it could very well be a bearing
