2004 Vauxhall Corsa Are oil temp sensors better than coolan

Engine Cooling problem
2004 Vauxhall Corsa 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive

Just wondered why oil temperature sensors are more accurate in determining the correct engine temperature for fuel calculations as opposed to an NTC2 coolant temp sensor, is it because its not water cooled? cheers

Most engines are water cooled ... the OIL hold's a steady temperature evenly .. the water temp is constantly changeing ... hope this helps
