Hi i have a 2 litre diesel 03 plate astra and the oil light comes on and off, its stays on when in idle but goes out over 1000rpm approx. I have checked oil level and all is ok, but have been told its the oil sensor, i have my nvq lvl 2 so i will be doing the work on it. but i would like some advice on if you think the sensor is the problem and where it is on the engine??
If you could help me it would be much appreciated.

Regards Shane.

There are usually 2 "sensors" on the vehicle Oil temperature sensor and an oil pressure switch .. we do not have the spec's for this vehicle as it was not released in the USA .. Your local library should be able to supply a manual for the vehicle .. repost with any questions you may have during repair ...it could be the sensor or it could be the wiring to the sensor or switch !!
