I changed the plugs on my truck and when finished I had a hose that was not connected. I cannot seem to locate a place for this hose. It came off the EVAP canister. The gas petal is also very hard and does not seem to want to go to the floor when acceleration is attempted.

There is a vacuum hose routing diagram on the emissions sticker under the hood. You can find them in the manufacturer's service manual too, but there is usually up to a dozen for all the variations and options. It takes some work to find the right one, that is why it is best to look on the truck. That will be the correct diagram.

If the accelerator pedal became hard to push just now, it is a good bet the cable became deformed or twisted under something. I have done that before. Also, look for any place you might have been laying on it and it became kinked. That applies to the throttle cable going down to the transmission too, if your truck uses one. Those were known for becoming sticky, but usually the only symptom was late or delayed up-shifts.
