Had heater core replaced. Now only get air out defroster. Where is vacuum line that runs through firewall to engine?

Hi Troy,

Unfortunately, I could not find a picture of the line coming through the firewall but I have attached documents that will locate both ends of it. You will need to locate that and then just trace it. It is relatively easy to do once you identify which line it is. This is an accessory vacuum line on the intake manifold that will obviously be routed in the direction of the firewall. Then you can follow it through and drop the glove box and see it come through to the reservoir.

Worst case, go to the reservoir and disconnect it and give it a small tug and have some look in the engine compartment to see which one moves.

Let me know if you can't find it and I will dig deeper.

Hopefully they will respond with the exact location but if not you will want to disconnect number 2 in the picture and follow the line through the firewall. It is not the easiest way but it will lead you through to the engine.

Sorry we don't have a detailed picture of this but the manuals on these older vehicles just don't have that level of detail.
