I had mechanic come to house easy to determine cracked head, tried blue devil head gasket sealant that was put in for me one bottle. White smoke slowed down when idled car for an hour but compression was still high at reservoir tank all the antifreeze leaked out from top. This was done at 3:00 pm yesterday, 4:00 pm turned off car. At 6:00 pm I went out stared car fine. Had to put more antifreeze this morning no antifreeze that was a 8:00 am. Did not go any where and now car does not start from trying to start it this morning. Long story short should I try a second head gasket sealant treatment?

Good afternoon

First, that stuff does not work. It does nothing but clog the radiator and the heater core.

There is no such thing as a head gasket repair additive. I know they make them but they never work and cause more problems.

The only correct repair is to have the head removed and repaired as needed. The fact it will not start tells me you have coolant in the cylinders and unfortunately water will not let an engine run.

You are welcome.

I hate it when these products make there claims and they never work.

I know it is all about money but the only way to repair it correctly will be expensive.

Always glad to help.
