When the engine is running, my right rear turn signal does not work. When the engine is off and the car is on acc, the signal works just fine.

Hello,

It sounds like you have a TIPM going out which is common. I would get a new unit and install it. You do not need to worry about programming the unit because it self initializes.

Here is the blinker wiring diagrams so you can see how it works and the TIPM location and replacement instructions. Check the diagrams below.

Position the TIPM into the engine compartment.
Connect the electrical wire harness connectors.
Position the TIPM positive cable onto the mounting stud and install the retaining nut. Tighten the nut to 9 - 11 N.M (80 - 100 in. Lbs.).
Position the TIPM onto the mounting bracket and push down until the mounting clips are fully seated.
Open the TIPM cover and fully seat the airbag fuse holder (two fuses in one yellow carrier) and the Ignition Off Draw (IOD) fuse.
Connect the battery negative cable.
Close the hood.
Insert the ignition key and turn it to the "RUN" position and wait twelve seconds. The TIPM will collect the necessary vehicle configuration and VIN data from the CCN and PCM at this time. After twelve seconds turn the ignition key to the "OFF" position and then back to the "ON" position and verify proper vehicle systems operation.

Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what happens.

Cheers, Ken
