Trunk will not open

I have tried both the lever inside my car and inserting the key into the lock on the trunk, but the trunk will not open. It clicks like it was opened, but I cannot pull the trunk open at all. The light on the dashboard indicating an open trunk turns on when I pull the lever or insert my key. I have to push incredibly hard on the trunk for the light on the dashboard to turn off. What might be causing this problem?

Hello,

This sounds like you have something like a cloth stuck in the latch. Once you hear the click try to pull up on the trunk lid. If you still cannot get it open remove the rear seat and crawl into the truck and unbolt the latch so you can get a better idea of what is stuck and causing the problem.

Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem.
