Welcome to 2CarPros.

Is it the latch that isn't attaching to close or is something wrong with the lift-gate itself?

If the door is moving properly but when closed won't lock, first check the latch in the lid. Make sure it isn't stuck in the lock position already. Take the key and see if it moves position when unlocking.

Let me know.

Hi,

There are a couple reasons for this. If when closing the lid it just bouncing back then most likely the latch is in the closed position. Easiest thing to try is pull the release handle or push the release button so that the latch opens. Then try and close it again.

If this does not work get a video of the trunk closing and then a close up of the latch and we can try to figure out what to try next.

Thanks
