The plastic piece that screws into the metal latch and connected to wires that locks the trunk is broke. I could open the trunk with my clicker or button on door key would not. It is a discontinued part and I have called and checked everywhere what do I do? Can I super glue it. Can it be bypassed somehow and the key manually unlock it but how would it lock with that actuator broke?

Would an trunk release actuator from another year fit a 1996?

Hello,

Its hard to say how to fix it, can you take a picture of the problem and upload it so I can look at it and give some guidance?

Please let us know

Cheers, Ken
