trunk latch not working

my trunk won't close.

Hello,

Please visually verify that the metal part that the latch hooks to is in good condition and not blocked by any object or bent. If it looks normal you might have a faulty latch. You also want to make sure when you pull the lever for the trunk release the latch does operate.

I have attached the replacement procedure for the latch.
