I have nothing wrong with my vehicle. There are no lights on on my dash, the car starts and runs great, never stalls, engines awesome, low miles actually very low miles, no electrical problem, no transmission problems, no engine problems or anything else. Everything is spectacular with my vehicle. The problem is; my vehicle will not connect to the Texas State Emissions Computer System! It will connect to a very expensive Snap On scanner and even a scanner that is not as high tech as the Snap On. So, my question is, why can it not communicate with the state emissions computer system? FYI, all my fuses, relays, and wiring are perfect. Please help. I really appreciate you helping me. Thank you!

(PS) Is it because I am a single woman and I am being stereotyped. The census is that women know nothing about vehicles so mechanics can pretty much charge them what they want. I am glad you know that is not true.

Hello, I am Danny.

If your car connects to a Snap-On scanner and communicates or even a less expensive version there should be no reason is it cannot connect to Texas's reader. Is this for a smog check? Sounds kind of bizarre! Have you tried taking to a different location? Hope this helps and feel free to ask any other question. Thanks for using 2CarPros.
