Truck dies when given throttle at takeoff

OK so my 77 GMC k1500 with a 350 engine 750 cfm starts fine does fine when put in gear starts to move a little on its own even however if I am not extremely extremely light footed with the accelerator it sputters and dies however once it is moving at a decent pace I can give it as much throttle as I want with no issues. Any ideas guys

If it's a holley check your float level and power valve.
