Hmac300;
cannot worry about trouble codes stored. Will power disconnected clear, like in older model cars? It really bothers me to know I have trouble codes stored. I will even go get scanner to clear them. Car is cherry.

First if it is an HVAC code there will be no check engine light if that is your concern, so a mechanic would have to clear it anyhow as auto parts cannot do that. If you disconnect power it will not clear the code and could set off security system so car would not start. But if it bugs you then go a head and do it but there will be a charge normally from a mechanic.

Can get scanner and think I can muddle my way to hvac and clear it. But did replace battery a year and a half ago. Disconnected power to do so with no security problem. But will use scanner. Thanks.
