Why is my gas gauge showing a little over a quarter of a tank and my trip computer shows 0 miles until empty.

The most likely cause of this is an issue with the bus system. This is the communication network that all the modules use to send information back and forth. Take a look at the testing for this issue.

Most likely you will find there is another issue with the F-CAN system that they call the bus system or you will be able to change the calibration. However, due to it being 0 points me again to another issue.

Unfortunately we need a scan tool capable of performing these functions which is mostly at the dealer or shops that can work on Acura's.

Take a look at this and we can go from there. Thanks

Well, just a while ago put gas in I was at about a quarter of a tank I put 15 bucks in it put it up to about half a tank and then my trip computer went from 0 to 159 miles. So it's working now, but I don't see why it wasn't working before.

More then likely there is a sensor that is used in the algorithm to determine the distance to empty number. This could be a speed sensor, fuel level sensor, or a PCM input. The fact that it is working will make it impossible to figure it out until (if) it breaks again. Thanks for the update. Let us know if it stops again and then we will need to get a scan tool to find out what sensors are not registering.
