Check engine light with code P0700 and P2763. Has hard shifting when taking off from stopped position and when pressing the brake to slow down or stop the engine rpms drop almost to a stall. Looking for help with a wiring diagram to check the TCC solenoid or for any other possible causes.

Yep, you don't need the wiring diagrams what you need is to replace the TCC control solenoid, the windings are shorted causing the code.

P0700 - Generic transmission fault flag
P2763 - Torque Converter Clutch (TCC) Pressure Control Solenoid Circuit High

Is this a 6 or 8 speed transmission? Anyway the TCC control solenoid is not serviced separately.

It is part of the TEHCM (Transmission Electro-Hydraulic Control Module) which is integrated into the valve body assembly.

Here is how the part is replaced. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens. Ken

Ken, thank you for the help. The transmission is a 6 speed. Quick question, is the TEHCM plug and play or will this need to be programmed or anything with the TCM being that it’s a module?

Good question! Yes it needs to be programmed, even rebuilt units that say plug and play should be programed are the shifting will not be correct. So the adaptation will need to be reset.

GM Techline / SPS (Service Programming System)
Scan tools like Tech2 / MDI / MDI2
Some high-end aftermarket tools (Autel, Snap-On, etc.)

These are some scanners that can do the job. Ken
