All I need to know is the year range for swapping an A604/41TE. I've seen anywhere from 1995-2004 and 1998-2006. The reason for the swap is I have the van listed above with the A604/41TE I'm dealing with that we suspect has internal damage. The salvage yard I plan to deal with has a huge inventory of Chrysler products and having that range can get the lowest mileage transmission. I know there's a difference in electrical connectors somewhere for one of the sensor/computer blocks where they switched from pins to blades. The bell housing for the 3.3 and 3.8L are the same as I know for a fact they swap as I had a Grand Caravan 3.3L Flex transmission fried because some idiot mechanic didn't put ATF +4 in it but Dexron 3 so had to swap transmissions with a 3.8L Town and Country. Does the range years look something like 1998-2004 or like 1998-2006?

Hi,

I don't have that specific info. However, I can say that they all have different part numbers regardless of being the same model number. I attached a few pics below so you can see what I'm referring to.

Keep in mind that a different part number could be the result of something like you mentioned, a connector change.

However, also take note that starting in 2002, the transmission model is no longer listed. So, I would say that is when they changed things.

Let me know.

Joe
