Took transmission off to source an oil leak and when I buttoned everything back together my transmission is stuck in first gear. Clutch engages and disengages transmission like normal. I can get the shifter linkage into two spots (image 1, 2). Me being retarded I originally put the linkage in upside down and tightened the torques bolts on top snugly it might of messed something up but I don’t hear any abnormal noises coming from the transmission. In image 1 the linkages looks as if it’s in neutral but does not move freely like it would in neutral. When I removed the transmission it was in first gear. Image 3 is an above view of the inside of the transmission with the linkage out. Really appreciate the help. Thank you.

Good morning,

I see the neutral gate on the right in the third picture that is correct.

The left rail is not in neutral for the shifter to be installed. You need to move the left rail with a screw driver so it looks like the right rail and then install the shifter.
