My vehicle will not start due to when I put it in park the dash board reads neutral and stays in neutral even thou the shifter is all the way up in park. Park and reverse are gone. Any help would be appreciated and helpful. Thanks!

Good morning,

So, what you are saying is that the shifter itself moves correctly and you can "feel" all the gears including park and reverse but the instrument cluster tells you that you are not in park or reverse, just stays in neutral. Is that correct?

Well P (park) shifter but light in dashboard is N.

Hello,

It sounds like the gear range sensor is out and needs to be replaced. Here are diagrams and instruction on how to do the job. Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.
