Transmission problems

I was rolling forward and put it In reverse.I heard a metallic ping and all of a sudden lost 2 gear overdrive and reverse. What happened?

Sounds like it broke a band inside the transmission. Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.
