Transmission not working properly after backing up and hitting a small slope

Basically there was a parking spot that I tried backing into and it was about 6 inches of slope going up. So when I backed up it hit and it felt like my engine dropped or something. Any way the gears aren't catching so it wont drive or reverse. Only start and engine trying when you press gas. Please answer my question.
