Replacing transmission need help finding the model number

I have a truck with a 454 big block and I'm not sure what kind of transmission is in the truck? I know it is a automatic but I need help finding the model number. That way I can somewhat teach myself alongside the mechanic i'm doing it with, how to take it out to have it rebuild. Then I can put it back in.

Good morning,

I attached a picture of the pans for the transmission. I circled the 2 possibilities for you to view. They offered both transmissions for this year and engine.

Match up the pan with the picture and the type is below the pan.

Good. That is a good transmission.

You can go the ATSG guides and they provide a manual for doing an overhaul.

By the way. I got it pulled out and everything rolls and moves okay. I was able to dis-engage the 4-wheel drive and put in neutral so it rolled. She looks a lot better now that the tires are aired up and surprisingly holding air too.
