Transmission fluid replacement instructions needed

Would you please tell me the procedure regarding changing the transmission fluid on my vehicle. I have been unable to find any information as well as exact fluid capacity for a maintenance drain and refill. Thank you.

I am attaching the process for both the 6 speed transmission and the 9 speed depending on which one you have. The first two attachments below are the 6 speed and the remaining is the 9 speed.

Don't know if my previous reply was sent. Thank you so much for the pictures. This information will enable me to change the fluid. Our vehicle is the six speed; did not know there were two transmission options. Would you know where I can look up the fluid capacity for the drain and refill? The owner's manual has no information and the information at the auto parts store is a ridiculous range If there is nothing listed, I will just measure what drains out. Thank you for the excellent response.

I am sorry. That is normally part of the process but I didn't even think to look and make sure they give that info. I attached it below from the manual.

For the fluid change it gives a range. This is because there is no guarantee on how much fluid will come out so I always start with adding the lower number back in, start the engine and warm it up and then add one more quart, then run it through the gears and start checking the fluid to top it off from there.

Again, thank you for the excellent information. Transmission oil change went perfectly.
The change took four(4) quarts and 20 ounces.

I will be changing the transmission fluid on my daughter's 2019 Equinox. (Same engine and transmission) Will the procedure be the same as the information you gave me for the 2018? Thank you.

They are identical for a 2019 vs a 2018.
