Transmission fluid leak

Yesterday my wife's vehicle would not move in any gear unless I gave it a lot of gas. Then it would jerk a bit and drive. When I came to a stop the same thing, not moving until I give it a lot of gas. This car has no transmission dipstick so it is hard to check the fluid level. Got under it and I can see transmission fluid dripping around the oil pan. Would low fluid cause it to not want to move? It shifts just fine. I do not think any damage has been caused to the transmission we noticed it pretty quickly, and have not driven it since.

Good afternoon.

There is a drain plug at the bottom of the pan. There is a small plug in the center of the plug. Remove that plug and fluid should come out if it is full. Otherwise, add fluid until it comes out. Then it will be full.

I suggest you drop the pan and change the filter and fluid. That would be a good start. That may solve the entire issue.
