Is the engine revving okay as you attempt to drive off? Is it laboring? Does it preform okay when in drive and engine and transmission at normal operation temperature? Is it sluggish going up hills or dose the engine feel that it is over revving under load?

It's just sluggish when starting off, I had the motor mounts replaced about a month ago and it was running fine, but now when I stop it takes forever to get going again

Everything is working fine once it gets going, it's the taking off part. I get in it starts right up and revs fine, it just won't go until its at 3rpm or almost 30miles

Just to add to this one have you had the computer checked for codes yet? Also if it's just a general lack of power you could have a plugged cat.On that car the cat in the exhaust manifold breaks loose and cloths up the exhaust down pipe right off the exhaust manifold. The other cat under the car can also get clogged up as well.Just a general lack of power in that car I would suspect a plugged cat. Also have you ever changed the fuel filter? They get changed every 100,000 miles and by them there very restricted.

I took it to 2 shops and they both said it was the transmission? But didn't run tests, I was thinking the cat to or fuel filter as well

If it was the transmission it could go into limp mode and it would stay in 2nd gear and never shift. Does it feel like it's staying in 2nd and not shifting?
