Wont down shift from drive
Have to manual shift to low
to take off then to drive
every time I stop.

Have a trans guy scan this it may be a wiring issue or an internal one on trans.

All I did was change the fluid & fiter

Then recheck your work like make sure the seal is in at the filter and not sucking air. If there was an old oring in filter at valve body remove it and reinstall filter. It may not be totally full either.
