Driving down road car wont shift from second to drive. Revs like in neutral. Transmission fluid is good. Never had any slipping or problems until this. No engine codes present.

Hi,

If this happened all at once, that is odd. It leads me to think it is something electrical. You said the fluid is full. What color is it and does it have a burnt smell to it? Also, were there any indications prior that something was happening?

You may want to consider having the can-bus system scanned to see if there are any codes that will help. CAN stands for controller area network. Basically, it is a few wires that tie all the modules/computers together in a network. By doing this, it will identify if there are codes in any of the modules and not just the engine.

I'm suggesting this because the problem could be electrical, hydraulic, or mechanical. I'm hoping something is present to guide us in the right direction. Here is a video showing how it is done:

Let me know if that is what you have already done. Also, let me know the engine size and if it is 2wd or 4wd.

Take care,

Joe
