I have the truck listed above long bed with a 4.3 L V6 4L60E transmission one piece casing 6 bolt pattern, it has gone out on me. I have a 4L60E 3-piece casing with a 2800 to 3,000 stall torque converter. I'm trying to put in the truck my problem is the torque converter will not bolt to the flywheel. I just recently understood that they make adapter plates to fix this problem my problem is I don't know which adapter plate to get or what it's actually called

To install a 4L60E transmission with a 3-piece casing and a different torque converter on your 1994 Chevrolet 1500 truck, you may need an adapter plate or a flex plate spacer. Here are some steps to help you with the installation and provide information on the adapter plate or spacer:

Verify Compatibility: Ensure that the 4L60E transmission you have is compatible with your 1994 Chevrolet 1500 truck. Check for any differences in electrical connectors, sensors, or other components between the original transmission and the replacement.

Identify the Transmission Type: Determine the specific 4L60E transmission you have. There were several variations produced over the years. Note any model numbers or identifying marks on the transmission casing.

Research Adapter Plates or Flex plate Spacers: Look for adapter plates or flex plate spacers that are designed to bridge the gap between your transmission and the engine's flywheel. These can provide the necessary compatibility and alignment for the torque converter to bolt properly.
