Hi there,

I have this little beauty since 1996 which I am using to take dogs out or to go shopping. It passed MOT and it is maintained well. Recently the humming noise was heard and we took the car to the garage. There is a problem with transmission and they are asking £1000 to repair it. Now the question are:
1) is it worth repairing the car?
2) My budget for the "new" car is £1000 Do i risk buying second hand car or repair my "little beauty"?

Thank you very much.

try driving this car in a circle like left hand then right if the noise is mostly in one direction it may be a wheel bearing and not transmission.

Please let us know what happens.
