The transmission goes in low 1 and low 2 slips in drive and reverse but if I go back and forth from reverse and low 1 it will go back to shifting normal then it might drive okay for a week are more then start doing it again with slipping in reverse and drive.

Hi,

If it is slipping, it can be caused by a few things. First, is the fluid clean and full? Also, things like low transmission line pressure or worn clutch packs can cause it as well.

Is this the original transmission? Also, if you haven't already, I need you to check the transmission fluid level and condition. When you check its condition, see if it has a burnt smell to it. Keep in mind, transmission fluid is a reddish color. See if it is dark brown or even black.

Here is a link you may find helpful:

Let me know what you find. Also, let me know if the check engine light is staying on when the engine is running.

Take care,

Joe
