I have had transmission filter replaced the throttle body replaced as well as the eye valve, it tries to go in to gear. I do not know what it could be.
Do you
have the same problem?

Hi,

Wow, that's a tough one. When you shift the gear to drive or reverse, does the gear indicator show D or R?

Also, I'm not sure what you are referring to when you say eye valve. Can you explain? One other thing, is this a 4- or 6-cylinder engine?

Let me know.

Joe

I meant the EGR valve and yes, the linkage is correct and it's a 6.

Hi,

If the shift indicator is accurate, we need to check the line pressure in the transmission. You may have a failing front pump or even an issue with the pressure control solenoid.

I do have one other question. You indicated it tries to go into gear. Please explain.

Also, have you scanned the computer to see if there are any diagnostic trouble codes?

I attached the directions for testing line pressure. You will need a pressure gauge that is designed for testing high pressures. Often times a parts store will lend one to you.

Take a look through the directions below and let me know if you are comfortable performing them.

Take care,

Joe
