Book time is 3.5 hours. It's a heavy chunk to remove so have help for that. Remove the skid plate, drain the T-Case fluid out. Remove both driveshafts. Remove the vent line and the electrical connections. Remove the left side exhaust hanger to get room. Now secure the transmission and remove the crossmember. Then remove the 9 transfer case to transmission bolts and toss them. They are a onetime use bolt. Now slide the case back and then lower it. To install you reverse the process, the 9 bolts are torqued to 168 Inch Pounds. The skid plate bolts get torqued to 30 Foot Pounds.
