Transaxle range switch Accent 2005 - backup light

I have Hyundai accent 2005 Automatic transmissions and I had problem with backup light not working
To try to solve the problem you I was removed transaxle switch and cleaned inside it
after reinstalled it again I noticed backup light working all time with R, N, D, 1.2 except P not only with R
what can I do pls help

Id have to say it sounds like that switch is done. It sounds like its shorted internally. Replace it

You could always try to take the switch apart and fix it since youre ambitious. Sometimes they can be fixed
