Transmission will shift into reverse at R but no drive when shifted to D. When I shift from D to neutral it is then in reverse, and the R selection is like neutral.

Hello,

It sounds like you might have an issue with the shift cable.
Over time the shift cable can get loose or become out of adjustment. Which in turn makes it difficult to select the desired gear. It can show one on the display but be on a different gear. Like it will show to be in neutral but actually be reverse and so on.

I have attached the adjustment procedure for the shift cable as well as the replacement procedure below.

First try to adjust the cable and see if that takes care of the issue.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you.

The cable sheath was no longer in its proper position. The latching tab was missing probably due to previous activity in that area. Reseated and locked the sheath in place to solve the problem.
