When trying to get up to speed my traction control light will come on in my vehicle will shift hard down and then not get above 3000 RPM's nor accelerate as fast as I feel like it should and used to. It does this every time I try to get up to speed and my vehicle accelerates really slowly afterwards if at all.

Hi Matt,

Two things. First, we need to check codes. Second, I am going to assume that this is one of the wheel speed sensor or vehicle speed sensors are not reading properly. This will cause the ABS to think that one or more tires are slipping and will derate the speed and engine. Also, it will flash the ESC light to notify you. Also, this normally happens on acceleration. Basically, it makes the most sense for what your vehicle is doing.

When getting the codes pulled make sure it is a scan tool that can read ABS codes. Some code readers cannot pull ABS codes and so you will think there are no codes when it was just the tool.

Let me know what codes are in the system and we can go from there. Thanks
