Hi,

When the fuel gauge flashes on the last bar, I understand that you need to get gas, but no where in the manual does it tell you, once the light flashes how much further will the car go? e.g. 50 km?
Not sure. Can you tell me once the last bar flashes how much further the car is supposed to go before you actually will run out of gas?

Thanks

This will depend on the driving conditions , and it is important to know that you should never drive till the light comes on as by this stage, the fuel can become a bit aerated and as the system is constant flow, this is not good for the electric fuel pump, try and keep the tank above 1/4 as much as possible.

Thanks, but the car is new to me and it only has a series of lines to indicate fuel, not a typical fuel gauge so I have no idea what 1/4 tank is. I didn't realize when it got to the last bar it was near empty.

When light flashes fast, you have 1.1 gallons left, but as Mark said, do not run it out of gas or low as fuel cools the pump and if you do this often enough you CAN overheat the pump.
