2008 Toyota Yaris 2008 Toyota Yaris Whining sound

I just noticed this sound today, but whenever I accelerate I hear this whining sound. It's hard to tell if it's coming from the engine or somewhere else. It gets louder as I accelerate, so when the engines rpms back down to 1000-1500, it's quiter, and it get's louder at 2500-3000.

Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Inspect the serpentine belt for wear.

I tried to look to where it was coming from, and it seems to definitely get louder from the alternator, and it also seems to go away after a while of driving.

Could be an alternator bearing or tensioner pulley.
