Engine Performance problem
1993 Toyota Tercel 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

i have a 1993 toyota tercle.3e-e efi. It wont start when cold unless I retard the distributor. Once warm I have to move it back to correct timing for car to run smooth.

Your T/belt probably slipped and caused the valve timing to be off-check it

Hi there,
I would also be checking the cold start injector, make sure that it has power on cold crank and that the injector is not blocked.
